HR + Payroll for SMEs

Best for: 1-15 employees, start-ups, first-time HR/payroll setup

Price: £400 per month + VAT | One-off setup fee: £450 + VAT

What’s included:

HR support

  • 4 hours per month of CIPD-qualified HR advice via email/phone for day-to-day queries (contracts, holiday, basic ER)

  • Response time: Email queries within 24 hours; urgent matters within 4 hours

  • Compliance health check (initial audit) with action list; update of essential documents

  • Core policy pack: 6 employment contract templates: Employee Handbook, Disciplinary, Grievance, Absence, Equality, Data protection (included in setup fee)

  • 1 employee relations case per month covered end-to-end (e.g., absence review, informal performance, or stage 1 grievance/disciplinary). Additional cases: £95+VAT per hour as needed

  • Monthly HR mini-report: headcount, starters/leavers, absence snapshot, key risks

 

Payroll (fully managed - monthly)

  • Up to 15 employees processed per monthly pay run; RTI submissions to HMRC; digital payslips: P45/P60; statutory pay (SSP/SMP/MSP/SAP) included

  • Payroll cut-off: 3 working days before pay date

  • Starters/leavers set-up and HMRC tax code updates

  • Standard payroll queries (via email)

  • Pension auto-enrolment assessment and file creation. Pension administration add-on: +£30/month if we manage provider uploads and communications

  • Year-end processing (included P60). Benefits in kind/P11D available as add-on from £75/year

 

Onboarding + templates

  • Offer letter + contract issue flow; new starter checklist; right-to-work verification template

  • Leaver checklist and exit interview template

 

Service level

  • Response within 1 business day for HR queries; payroll cut-off 3 working days before pay date

  • Data protection: UK GDPR-aligned handling and audit trail

  • Support hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm

  • Contract: 3-month minimum term; 30 days' notice to cancel

  • Overage: If you exceed 15 employees, £30+VAT per additional employee processed, or upgrade to Growth package
